Kitchen Update #3
The tile and the subfloor have been successfully removed after a long and painstaking process. We had to call in the big guns ... Billy, who can solve just about any renovation problem ... to remove the final pieces of subfloor and tile from the edges of the base cabinets that weren't taken out in my demolition frenzy. That involved more pry bar action, a special saw, Billy's ingenuity, and some good old-fashioned man strength. What's up for this week? Glad you asked ...
- estimate from Mr. Skinner who will be refinishing the kitchen floor
- try to keep the cat out of the two holes in the kitchen floor (she doesn't understand what "entrance to the underworld" means)
- estimate from Mr. Rooks, who will be installing the cooktop, the wall oven, and the down draft
- select glass for bar cabinets
- begin the granite hunt for the center island
- sand and prime existing cabinets
- get started painting
Wow. That's a gracious plenty for this week. Maybe this will be the two-week work plan.

And about that handle of yours. I hope it means you carry a fanny pack. Alas, I fear it might be dirty...
