One Bite Wonders

meatloaf and mashed potato shootersVivian started it. I'll blame her.

In Viv's copious travels through teh (that was for you, Luisa) Intarweb, she discovered a recipe for meatloaf cupcakes iced with mashed potatoes. She told us. Marian told Doreen. And, last week, we found ourselves on the receiving end of a platter of those one shot wonders. Doreen went the extra mile and added a pickle layer. She also garnished her plate with a ketchup and mustard lattice pattern.

I'm here to tell you and anybody else who is reading - these little white trash shooters were off the chain. No, no - they were off the freakin' chandalier.

I love this about the web ... that someone's random discovery can become my dinner. I absolutely love it.

The tidbits sound inviting, however my dear daughter, being in the lighting business, I generally spell the light fixture you referred to as CHANDELIER. I'm sure that there could be another spelling for it. That is why many children are attending Summer school.

Guess who had a cheeseburger in paradise at Margaritaville and was hugged by Curios George the monkey. Woody Woodpecker tried to pick me up!

Hey Deb, I might just try this for my 4th of July party. I'm having a potluck with some fellow yanks who live locally. Sadly, it's the middle of winter so I don't we'll be having watermelon, corn or ice tea. :(

To Michelle T:

Would that Iced Tea happened to be Sweet Tea? I would be really interested to know if it's served anywhere else than below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Techincally, aren't they below the Mason/Dixon line?

normal passers-by aren't usually as helpful you were. ;) thanks.

Jane in Vail is very much correct. No matter how smart her answer was.

Hi Andrew...as you see, I'm in Australia...BUT, I had "sweet tea" for the first time not too long ago in Virginia and I must say that it is too sweet for me. I think you have to grow up with it to really enjoy it fully. In Hawaii, we have "Plantation Iced Teas" - 1/2 unsweetened iced tea & 1/2 pineapple juice - YUM. Happy 4th everyone!
