How Rude

How rude of me to leave the country without saying goodbye. As I hope you've noticed, I've been away - to Germany, then to Egypt, and now I'm at the Dead Sea in Jordan. In fact, I'm fresh from my second float and mud bath in the sea. The is the first computer I've laid hands on since I departed. You'll recall that the last time I ventured abroad, Vivian held down the fort. But Vivian is here as well - and today is her birthday. She doesn't know it, but we're planning a little soiree for this evening on a terrace overlooking the Dead Sea.

I'll be home late on November 4 and will resume our regular programming on November 5.

You all can blame me for the inactivity at Bitegeist. Before we left for Egypt and Jordan, I told Deb we could keep our websites up without anyone really knowing we were away. Then we got distracted doing touristy things.

I had a GREAT birthday party with our group, thanks to Teresa. I celebrated my 44th year overlooking the Dead Sea with 20 of my closest traveling companions, stars in the sky, a warm breeze in the air, with the lights of Jerusalem shining in the distance, and the most fabulous Black Forest Cake I have ever seen (or tasted).
